MONTHLY SUMMARY OF ISRAELI VIOLATIONS

01 June 2022 – 30 June 2022

The following summary tables and overview of events survey hostile Israeli activities during the period 01 June 2022 to 30 June 2022. The report includes a summary table of events, classified by type, throughout the West Bank and Gaza Strip, in addition to a comparative table surveying events over the past three months. The survey is compiled from the Daily Situation Reports of the Palestinian Monitoring Group (PMG) of the Negotiations Affairs Department (NAD) of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). The PMG monitors ground conditions in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, including Israeli and Palestinian violations. The information reported through the PMG process represents data available at the time of distribution only. 

 

 

Sample of Israeli Violations during the Month of  June  2022

06/01/2022:  the citizen: Yasser Attia al-Masri, 41 years old - a resident of Deir al-Balah, died of serious wounds he sustained during the aggression on the Gaza Strip in May 2021, as he was receiving treatment in a hospital in the Arab Republic of Egypt. 06/01/2022:  the Israeli occupation forces fired live ammunition and rubber-coated metal bullets , stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens, while they were trying to prevent the demolition of the home of the family of the martyr: Diaa Hamrasheh for alleged stoning, during their raid into the town of Ya`bad which led to the death of a citizen:  Bilal Awad Tawfiq Qabha, 24 years old and injury 7 others (one seriously injured). 06/02/2022: the Israeli occupation forces in charge of guarding the apartheid wall near the village of Medea, openef fire towards and killefd the child: Ouda Muhammad Odeh Sadaka, 17 years old ( a resident of the village of Medea) while he was approaching with a number of citizens who were herding sheep near the wall. 06/02/2022:  the Israeli occupation forces fired live ammunition, rubber-coated metal bullets , stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens for alleged stoning as they stormed several houses during their raid into Dheisheh camp in Bethlehem and as a result killed a citizen: Ayman Mahmoud Muhaisen, 29 years old and injured 3 civilians. 06/03/2022: the Israeli occupation forces positioned in Bab Al-Zawiya area in Hebron city, fired live ammunition, rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens for alleged stoning and as a result injured a child:  Raed Muhammad Abdul Karim Abu Daoud, 15 years old . 06/03/2022: the Israeli occupation force positioned near the southern entrance to Jericho, fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens for alleged stoning and as a result injured a unidentified child. 06/04/2022: the Israeli occupation forces positioned near the (closed) eastern entrance in the village of Kafr Qaddoum, fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards demonstrators protesting against the closure of the entrance to the village for alleged stoning and as a result injured 3 unidetified civilians and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation. 06/04/2022: the Israeli occupation forces positioned near the (closed) eastern entrance in the village of Kafr Qaddoum, fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards the demonstrators protesting against the closure of the entrance to the village, for alleged stoning, and as a result injured a child: Ahmed Nasser Shteiwi, 12 years old, and left several others suffocated due to inhalation of tear gas. 06/05/2022:  the Israeli occupation forces, present in the vicinity of Beit Furik checkpoint, opened fire towards a child:  Muhammad Mahmoud Abed Abu Salim, 17 years old, a resident of Askar refugee camp in Nablus , while he was near the checkpoint, as a result of which he was wounded, and he was admitted to the hospital for treatment. 06/05/2022: the Israeli occupation forces positioned near the entrance to the village of Al-Nabi Saleh fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas at the citizens for alleged stoning and as a result injured a child: Ezz Tlja, 6 years old 06/06/2022:  the Israeli occupation forces positioned in the vicinity of Tayseer checkpoint, fired stun grenades and tear gas canisters towards citizens demonstrating against the confiscation of land for settlement projects, left 20 civilians (including 2 journalists from the Palestine TV crew: Salim Bisharat and Amir Shaheen) suffocated due to inhalation of tear gas. 06/07/2022: the Israeli occupation forces positioned near the entrance to Qalandia camp, fired live ammunition, rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens for alleged stoning and as a result injured 3 children (one of whom was shot in the eye): Abd al-Rahman Salama Hassan, 16 years old (with rubber-coated metal bullets in the eye), Muhammad Sami Hassan Ziyad, 17, and Muhammad Hazem Subhi al-Rishq, 15 years old. 06/09/2022: the Israeli occupation forces fired live ammunition, rubber-coated metal bullets , stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens for alleged stoning during their raid into town of Halhul while they were closing a money exchange shop after storming it and confiscating an amount of 1,100,000 shekels and a a result killed a citizen:  Mahmoud Fayez Abu Ayhour, 27 years old and 8 injured civilians (one in the eye, and another in the jaw). 06/11/2022: the citizen: Samih Jamal Amarneh, 37 years old - a resident of the town of Ya`bad, died of serious wounds he had sustained during confrontations with the occupation forces in the town of Ya`bad on 06/02/2022, while he was being treated in the consultative hospital in Ramallah city. 06/17/2022:  the Israeli occupation forces fired live ammunition, rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens, for alleged stoning and shooting during their raid into Jenin and as a result killed 3 civilians: Yousef Nasser Salah, 23 years old - a resident of Jenin, Bara' Kamal Lahlouh, 24 years old - a resident of Hanin refugee camp, and Laith Salah Abu Surour, 24 years old - a resident of Jenin  and injured 10 other civilians. 06/17/2022: the Israeli occupation forces in the vicinity of Jabal Sobeih area in the town of Beita fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens participating in a demonstration against settlers’ attacks and land confiscation for settlement projects, injured 4 civilians and left 32 others suffocated due to inhalation of tear gas. 06/19/2022: the Israeli occupation forces charged with guarding the racist separation wall in the south of Qalqilya opened fire at the workers, while they were trying to enter to work inside the Green Line and as a result killed a citizen: Nabil Ahmed Salim Ghanem, 53 years old - a resident of Surra village. 06/21/2022: The civilian: Ali Hassan Yousef Harb, 27 years old - resident of Iskaka village was killed after he was stabbed by settlers in the Al-Harayeq area northwest of Iskaka village. 06/21/2022: the Israeli occupation forces, while setting up a checkpoint at the entrance to the village of Ain Sinia, severely beat the citizen: Amir Muhammad Khamis Abu Rjeleh - a resident of the town of Atara. 06/24/2022: two citizens: Muhammad Ahmad Hussein Tariq, and Sana Ahmad Abdul Hafeez Tariq were admitted to the government hospital in Jericho after a group of Israeli settlers assaulted them and sprayed pepper gas on their faces near the waterfall area of Al-Auja village. 06/24/2022: The child: Muhammad Abdullah Hamed, 16 years old - a resident of Silwad town died of serious injuries sustained after Israeli occupation forces opened fire towards him during confrontations with the occupation forces near the western entrance to Silwad town. 06/24/2022: the Israeli occupation forces positioned near the (closed) eastern entrance in Kafr Qaddoum village, fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards demonstrators protesting against the closure of the entrance to the village, for alleged stoning and as a result injured 9 unidentified civilians and left a number of citizens suffocated from tear gas inhalation. 06/26/2022: the Israeli occupation forces fired live ammunition, rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens for alleged stoning as they stormed a number of houses, as injured 4 civilians (including 2 children):  Ihsan Fahmawi, Abdul Rahman Abdullah, Ahmed Abu Ali 16, and Yazid Hajj Ahmed 16 years old during their raid into Nour Shams camp in Tulkarm city (as mentioned in the previous report). 06/26/2022: The Israeli occupation forces charged with guarding the apartheid wall near the Ertah suburb of Tulkarm opened fire at a number of laborers while they were trying to enter to work inside the Green Line, injuring two citizens (one of whom was the child Osaid Abed Bakr Mansour, 15 years old) and as a result leaving hospitalized at a government hospital in Tulkarm for treatment. 06/28/2022:, the Israeli occupation forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards  citizens for alleged stoning during their raid into  the city of Jericho and Aqabat Jabr camp and as a result injured a child: Ahmed Abu Zina, 12 years old near Aqabat Jabr camp. 06/29/2022: the Israeli occupation forces raided the city of Jenin and its camp, where confrontations took place with the citizens, as they stormed a number of houses, which led to the death of a citizen: Muhammad Maher Nafie Marei, 25 years old - a resident of Jenin refugee camp and also detained 2 civilians.

Injuries	175	5	180	A total of   180 injuries were reported in the month of June 2022 {175 Palestinians in the West Bank and 5 in the Gaza Strip). Including 22 children, an Elderly civilian ,a Journalist and 3 fishermen.
Attacks	191	109	300	A total of  300 attacks were reported to have taken place during the month of June 2022 ( 191 in the West Bank and 109 in the Gaza Strip) which included  51 from raids into Palestinian towns, villages and camps,140  from positions at Military checkpoints, 37 from positions at Military posts and 67 from Naval vessels and 5 during Air Strikes.
Air Strikes	-	5	5	Israeli Military Aircrafts launched a total of 5 Air Strikes during the month of June 2022: At 07:35 on 06/18/ 2022, Israeli warplanes launched a missile towards a site belonging to one of the armed Palestinian groups, east of the town of Beit Hanoun. At 07:40 on 06/18/ 2022, Israeli warplanes launched a missile towards a site belonging to one of the Palestinian armed groups, north of the town of Beit Lahia. At 07:05 on 06/18/ 2022 Israeli warplanes launched 3 missiles towards a site belonging to one of the armed Palestinian groups, east of Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.  At 06:30 on 06/18/ 2022, Israeli warplanes launched two missiles toward a site belonging to one of the Palestinian armed groups in Al-Bureij camp. At 06:35 on 06/18/ 2022, Israeli warplanes launched 6 missiles towards a site belonging to one of the Palestinian armed groups in Al-Bureij camp.
Raids	530	7	537	The Israeli military carried out a total of 537 raids in Palestinian residential areas during the month of June 2022, including 530 in the West Bank and 7 in the Gaza Strip. The majority of Israeli military raids were reported to have taken place in the districts of Jerusalem (24); Ramallah (87); Jenin (77); Tubas (7)Tulkarem (79); Qalqiliya (22); Nablus (57); Salfit (34); Jericho (11); Bethlehem (75); Hebron (50) ,North Gaza (5), Khan Yunis (1) and Rafah (1).
Deportation	14		14	The Israeli occupation forces deported 13 Palestinians in June 2022: including 06/03/2022:  the Israeli occupation authorities in the city of Jerusalem issued a decision to expel the citizen: Murad Ghazi Al-Abbasi, from his place of residence in the Silwan neighborhood in the city of Jerusalem, to the city of Ramallah, Separating him from his family, who lived for several years with his parents, wife and six children, on the pretext of her claim that she had secret files that prompted her to make a decision. 06/05/2022: the Israeli occupation authorities in the city of Jerusalem issued a decision to deport the two female citizens: Nafisa Khweis and Raeda Saeed Al-Khalili - residents of Jerusalem, for a period of one week, from Al-Aqsa Mosque, after they had been detained earlier. 06/07/2022:  the Israeli occupation authorities in the city of Jerusalem issued a decision to deport the citizen: Naima Al-Firawi, 70 years old - a resident of Al-Tur neighborhood in Jerusalem, for a period of 15 days, after summoning her for questioning at the occupation police station. 06/09/2022: the Israeli occupation authorities in the city of Jerusalem issued a decision to banish the female citizen: Hanadi Al-Halawani - residents of the city of Jerusalem, for a period of one week from Al-Aqsa Mosque, after summoning her for interrogation at the occupation police station in the city. 06/09/2022: the Israeli occupation authorities in the city of Jerusalem issued a decision to deport the citizen: Muawiyah Alqam - residents of Shuafat camp in Jerusalem, for a period of one week from his place of residence to the city of Jericho, as a condition for his release after he spent 7 years in the occupation prisons. 06/13/2022: the Israeli occupation authorities in the city of Jerusalem issued a decision to deport two female citizens - residents of the city of Jerusalem, for varying periods of time, from Al-Aqsa Mosque: Nafisa Khweis (for a period of 6 months) and Raeda Al Khalili (for a period of 5 months). 06/14/2022: the Israeli occupation authorities in the city of Jerusalem issued a decision to deport the child: Suhaib Abu Nab, 14 years old, from his place of residence in the city of Jerusalem, to the city of Tamra inside Israel, and imposed open house detention on him. 06/16/2022: the Israeli occupation authorities in the city of Jerusalem issued a decision to deport the citizen: Muawiyah Alqam - residents of Shuafat camp in Jerusalem, from the city of Jerusalem for another week, after summoning him for investigation. 06/19/2022: the Israeli occupation authorities in the city of Jerusalem issued a decision extending the deportation of the citizenship: Hanadi Al-Halawani - residents of the city of Jerusalem, for another 6 months from Al-Aqsa Mosque. 06/22/2022:  the Israeli occupation authorities in the city of Jerusalem issued a decision to deport the citizen: Shadi Abu Sneina - residents of the Old City of Jerusalem, for a period of two weeks from the Old City of Jerusalem, as a condition for his release after he was detained earlier. 06/30/2022:  the Israeli occupation authorities in the city of Jerusalem issued a decision to deport the citizen: Essam Najib (one of the guards of Al-Aqsa Mosque), for a week, from Al-Aqsa Mosque, and prevented him from approaching the roads leading to it, as a condition for his release after they arrested him the morning of the same day.
Arrests	463	14	477	During the month of June  2022, the Israeli military arrested 477 Palestinians { 463 in the West Bank and  14 in the Gaza Strip). The majority of arrests took place in the districts : 86 Jerusalem,82 Ramallah, 37 Jenin,  7 Tubas, 18 Tulkarm,24 Qalqilya,  35 Nablus,  15 Salfit,  15 Jericho, 61 Bethlehem, 83 Hebron, 4 North Gaza, 1 Gaza, 3 Central Gaza,5 Khan Yunis and 1 Rafah.   Among them: 30 Children,5 Women, 1 Journalist, 4 University Students and 7 Security Force Officer.כאן11
Temporary Detention	44		44	06/01/2022:  the Israeli occupation forces detained the 12-year-old girl: Salwa Shadi Sidr, in the Old City of Hebron, and released her later after they took her to investigate at a military checkpoint. 06/04/2022: the Israeli occupation forces positioned at Barta’a Checkpoint temporarily detained Saeda Muhammad Qabha, and her two children accompanied her while they were on their way to Barta’a town - residents of Tora village, and took her for interrogation, and released her later after several hours. 06/05/2022:  the Israeli occupation forces temporarily detained 3 children: Karam Ashour, 15, Imad Al-Sakhawi, 12, and Muhammad Al-Azhari, 15,.during their raid onto the city of Al-Bireh, and later released them after the intervention of the Palestinian military liaison. 06/06/2022:  the Israeli occupation forces positioned at a military checkpoint temporarily detained the child: Youssef Sanad Yusef Qabha, 3 years old while returning with his mother, on the pretext that he was wearing a T-shirt with a gun on it and made him go home with no clothes. 06/06/2022: the Israeli occupation forces positioned at flying checkpoint between Nablus and the northern Asira town temporarily detained the citizen: Rami Mahmoud Fashafsha - a resident of Jaba' town in Jenin governorate, and released him at a later time. 06/08/2022:  the Israeli occupation forces temporarily detained two children: Muhammad Taher Zakarneh, 16 years old, and Muhammad Abd al-Rahman Assaf, 16 years old (resident of the town of Qabatiya near Salem camp, and later released them after the intervention of the Palestinian military liaison. 06/09/2022: the Israeli occupation forces temporarily detained the child: Fawzi Imad, 12 years old - resident of Al-Jalazun camp, and released him at a later time. 06/13/2022:  the Israeli occupation forces detained Mwatana and her child (the mother of the child: Hamouda Mustafa Qabha), at Barta'a Checkpoint, while they were on their way to Barta'a village, and released them at a later time. 06/13/2022: the Israeli occupation authorities in the city of Jerusalem handed the citizen: Nasser Al-Hadmi (head of the Jerusalem Committee against Judaism), a decision banning him from traveling for a month. 06/14/2022:  the Israeli occupation authorities in the city of Jerusalem handed the citizen: Hamza Al-Zughayer - a residents of the city of Jerusalem, a decision banning him from traveling for a month. 06/14/2022: the Israeli occupation authorities in the city of Jerusalem issued a decision imposing house arrest on the citizen: Wissam Dana - residents of Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem, for a period of two days, as a condition for his release after arresting him earlier.06/15/2022:  the Israeli occupation authorities in the city of Jerusalem issued a decision imposing house arrest on 3 citizens: Aziz Alyan, Wadih Alyan, and Muhammad Dari - residents of Al-Isawiya village, for a period of one week, as a condition for their release after they had been arrested earlier, in as well as being deported from the Valencian Hill area in Jerusalem, for a period of one month. 06/16/2022: the Israeli occupation authorities in the city of Jerusalem issued a decision imposing house arrest on the citizen: Majed Abu al-Hummus - residents of the village of al-Isawiya, until 06/21/ 2022, as a condition for his release after arresting him earlier. 06/21/2022: the Israeli occupation forces temporarily detained 3 citizens: Muhammad Walid Ramadan, Assem Iyad Ramadan, and Muntasir Abdul Latif Ramadan - residents of Tal village, while they were on the western side of their village, and later released them. 06/21/2022: the Israeli occupation authorities in the city of Jerusalem issued a decision imposing house arrest for a period of 5 days on the citizen: Seif Al-Natsheh - residents of the city of Jerusalem, as a condition for his release after he was detained earlier. 06/25/2022: the Israeli occupation forces temporarily detained 2 citizens (one of whom is a child) - Musa Abayat (head of the village council), and the child - Hassan Musa Alyan.(residents of Kisan village), and later released them. 06/25/2022: the Israeli occupation forces temporarily detained 3 citizens Bakr Ouda Rashaida, Muhammad Sayel Rashaida, and Abed Qrainat in Fasayel village, and later released them. 06/25/2022: the Israeli occupation forces positioned at Hawara checkpoint temporarily detained the policeman: Wissam Deeb Fouad Masalmeh,a resident of Balata refugee camp in Nablus and released him at a later time. 06/26/2022: the Israeli occupation forces positioned near the entrance to the Ibrahimi Mosque in the Old City of Hebron temporary detained the citizen: Shaima Jamjoom, and released her at a later time. 06/28/2022: The Israeli occupation forces temporarily detained two citizens, Anas Afana and his wife, from their vehicle in the village of Sur Baher and interrogated them at a Israeli police station under the guise that the wife does not have a permit allowing her to enter the city of Jerusalem, and they kept their two infants, who were screaming and crying loudly inside the vehicle, until they were later released.
Closure of Crossing Points	-	141	141	The Israeli military completely closed crossing points into the Gaza Strip, including access points within the Green Line, on 141 occasions during the month of June 2022.
Flying Checkpoints	195	-	195	The Israeli military set up 195 Flying checkpoints in the month of June 2022 and searched Palestinian civilians and vehicles in and around Palestinian residential areas in the districts of Jerusalem (15); Ramallah (29); Jenin (11); Tulkarem (5),  Qalqiliya (28); Nablus (14); Salfit (10); Jericho (24); Bethlehem (35)and Hebron (24).
Destruction of Public and Private property	83	-	83	Damages included home furniture, vehicles, Olive trees, barrack’s and demolished structures.

Killings

A total of   14 residents was killed by Israeli forces during the month of June 2022 {13 in the West Bank and 1 in Gaza}:

• 06/01/2022: the Israeli occupation forces fired live ammunition and rubber-coated metal bullets , stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens, while they were trying to prevent the demolition of the home of the family of the martyr: Diaa Hamrasheh for alleged stoning, during their raid into the town of Ya`bad and as a result killed the civilian: Bilal Awad Tawfiq Qabha, 24 years old and injured 7 others (one seriously injured)
• 06/01/2022: the Israeli occupation forces fired live ammunition, rubber-coated metal bullets , stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens for alleged stoning as they stormed several houses during their raid into Dheisheh camp in Bethlehem and as a result killed the citizen:  Ayman Mahmoud Muhaisen, 29 years old and injured 3 civilians.
• 06/01/2022: the citizen: Yasser Attia al-Masri, 41 years old - a resident of Deir al-Balah, died of serious wounds he sustained during the aggression on the Gaza Strip in May 2021, as he was receiving treatment in a hospital in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
• 06/02/2022:  the Israeli occupation forces in charge of guarding the apartheid wall near the village of Medea, shot and killed the child: Ouda Muhammad Odeh Sadaka, 17 years old ( a resident of the village of Medea)  while he was approaching with a number of citizens who were herding sheep near the wall.
• 06/09/2022: the Israeli occupation forces fired live ammunition, rubber-coated metal bullets , stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens for alleged stoning during their raid into town of Halhul while they were closing a money exchange shop after storming it and confiscating an amount of 1,100,000 shekels and a result killed a citizen:  Mahmoud Fayez Abu Ayhour, 27 years old and 8 injured civilians (one in the eye, and another in the jaw).
• 06/11/2022:  the citizen: Samih Jamal Amarneh, 37 years old - a resident of the town of Ya`bad, died of serious wounds he had sustained during confrontations with the occupation forces in the town of Ya`bad on 06/02/2022, while he was being treated in the consultative hospital in Ramallah city.
• 06/17/2022:  the Israeli occupation forces fired live ammunition, rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens, for alleged stoning and shooting during their raid into Jenin and as a result killed 3 civilians: Yousef Nasser Salah, 23 years old - a resident of Jenin, Bara' Kamal Lahlouh, 24 years old - a resident of Hanin refugee camp, and Laith Salah Abu Surour, 24 years old - a resident of Jenin and injured 10 other civilians.
• 06/19/2022:  the Israeli occupation forces charged with guarding the racist separation wall in the south of Qalqilya opened fire at the workers, while they were trying to enter to work inside the Green Line and as a result killed a citizen.
• 06/21/2022: The civilian: Ali Hassan Yousef Harb, 27 years old - resident of Iskaka village was killed after he was stabbed by settlers in the Al-Harayeq area northwest of Iskaka village.
• 06/24/2022: the Israeli occupation forces positioned near the western entrance to Silwad town fired live ammunition, rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens for alleged stoning and as a result killed a child:  Muhammad Abdullah Hamed, 16 years old - a resident of Silwad town after he was seriously injured and detained.
• 06/29/2022: the Israeli occupation forces fired live ammunition and rubber-coated metal bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens for alleged gunfire and stoning during their raid into Jenin city and its camp and as a result killed a citizen: Muhammad Maher Nafie Marei, 25 years old - a resident of Jenin refugee camp.

Injuries

A total of   180 injuries were reported in the month of June 2022 {175 Palestinians in the West Bank and 5 in the Gaza Strip).

Including 22 children, an Elderly civilian, a Journalist and 3 fishermen.

Arrests

During the month of June  2022, the Israeli military arrested 477 Palestinians { 463 in the West Bank and  14 in the Gaza Strip). The majority of arrests took place in the districts : 86 Jerusalem,82 Ramallah, 37 Jenin,  7 Tubas, 18 Tulkarm,24 Qalqilya,  35 Nablus,  15 Salfit,  15 Jericho, 61 Bethlehem, 83 Hebron, 4 North Gaza, 1 Gaza, 3 Central Gaza,5 Khan Yunis and 1 Rafah.  

 

Among them: 30 Children,5 Women, 1 Journalist, 4 University Students and 7 Security Force Officer.

Especially on Fridays, the Israeli military continues to intensify restrictions at checkpoints located at the entrances of Jerusalem, and to restrict entrance to the Al Aqsa Mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem, preventing worshippers from accessing the Mosque. At the Qalandiya checkpoint north of Jerusalem, the Israeli military continues to prevent PNA registered civilian vehicles from crossing the checkpoint towards Ar Ram and Qalandiya as well as Dahiyat al Bareed. The checkpoint is overcrowded daily, particularly during rush hours, due to intensified restrictions and search measures applied by Israeli troops. During the month of June 2022  ,the Israeli military also continued to intensify restrictions at the Tayasir checkpoint and Al Hamra junction checkpoint leading to the Jordan Valley area, only allowing access to civilians whose IDs indicate District of Jericho residence or others holding special access permits. In addition, restrictions were intensified and civilian access was obstructed at the Za’tara junction checkpoint (separating the northern and central West Bank districts) as well as at the As Sawahira ash Sharqiya (the ‘Container’) checkpoint (separating the central and southern West Bank districts).

The Israeli military installed 195 checkpoints in June 2022 (Compared with 361 checkpoints in May 2022 and 285 checkpoints in April and as a result restricted the free access and movement of residents, merchant supplies and agricultural goods.

The Israeli military set up 195 Flying checkpoints in the month of June 2022 and searched Palestinian civilians and vehicles in and around Palestinian residential areas in the districts of Jerusalem (15); Ramallah (29); Jenin (11); Tulkarem (5),  Qalqiliya (28); Nablus (14); Salfit (10); Jericho (24); Bethlehem (35)and Hebron (24).

 

The Israeli military carried out a total of 537 raids in Palestinian residential areas during the month of June 2022, including 530 in the West Bank and 7 in the Gaza Strip. The majority of Israeli military raids were reported to have taken place in the districts of Jerusalem (24); Ramallah (87); Jenin (77); Tubas (7)Tulkarem (79); Qalqiliya (22); Nablus (57); Salfit (34); Jericho (11); Bethlehem (75); Hebron (50) ,North Gaza (5), Khan Yunis (1) and Rafah (1).

 

A total of  300 attacks were reported to have taken place during the month of June 2022 ( 191 in the West Bank and 109 in the Gaza Strip) which included  51 from raids into Palestinian towns, villages and camps,140  from positions at Military checkpoints, 37 from positions at Military posts and 67 from Naval vessels and 5 during Air Strikes.
