MONTHLY SUMMARY OF ISRAELI VIOLATIONS

The following summary tables and overview of events survey hostile Israeli activities during the period 01 October 2019 to October 31 2019. The report includes a summary table of events, classified by type, throughout the West Bank and Gaza Strip, in addition to a comparative table surveying events over the past three months. The survey is compiled from the Daily Situation Reports of the Palestinian Monitoring Group (PMG) of the Negotiations Affairs Department (NAD) of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). The PMG monitors ground conditions in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, including Israeli and Palestinian violations. The information reported through the PMG process represents data available at the time of distribution only. 

 

 

Sample of Israeli Violations during the Month of October  2019

  • October 1st 2019: Israeli forces positioned near the North entrance of Al-Bireh city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they were protesting in solidarity with Palestinian Detainees in Israeli Prisons and as a result injured a child and left several residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
  • October 2nd 2019: an Israeli settler driving his vehicle near Al-Faradis village junction ran over the child: Khadijat Murad Tanuj {10 years old} and as a result left her hospitalized with contusions.
  • October 3rd 2019: Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several homes during their raid into Ramallah and Al-Bireh cities and as a result injured Mohammad Radi {a journalist}.
  • October 4th 2019: Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition; rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Jabaliya town during the march of return and as a result killed Ala Nizar Ayish Hamdan {28 years old} {a resident of Jabaliya town}, injured 7 residents and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
  • October 7th 2019: Fadi Osama Ramadan Hijazi {21 years old}{a resident of Jabaliya camp} died of serious injuries sustained as Israeli forces opened fire towards several demonstrators during the right of Return march in east Jabaliya town on February 2019.
  • October 17th 2019: Israeli forces positioned near Turmus'aya town fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators who were protesting against the Israeli military confiscation of land for the purpose of settlement expansion and as a result injured 2 residents {including a child: Hazim Rabah Hamza {17 years old} and Ribhi Khalil Ribhi Abu Aliya and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
  • October 18th 2019: Israeli forces opened fire towards and killed Ra'id Majed Al-Bahri {25 years old} {a resident of Kar Zibad village} after he allegedly attempted to stab an Israeli soldier positioned at Jabara military checkpoint.
  • October 20th 2019:  Israeli forces positioned at the wall gate in Al-Naqqar neighbourhood located in Qalqiliya city fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured the child:  Abdel-Rahman Majed Al-Haj Hassan {16 years old}leaving him hospitalized.
  • October 28th 2019: Israeli forces injured the child: Mohammad Khalid Al-Sabah Abu Sineineh {16 years old} {a resident of Jerusalem city} after opening fire towards him in the old city of Jerusalem.
  • October 30th 2019: Israeli forces injured Suhier Ahmad Salamayma {38 years old}{a resident of Idhna town} after opening fire towards her near Al-Ibrahimi Mosque compound located in the old city of Hebron for allegedly attempting to stab a Israeli soldier.

  •  October 7th 2019: Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city issued orders banning Ayed Al-Sadawi {a resident of Jerusalem city} from entering Al-Aqsa mosque compound located in the old city of Jerusalem for a period of 6 months.
  • October 7th 2019: Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city issued orders banning Majed Raghib Al-Ju'ba {a resident of Jerusalem city} from entering the West Bank for a period of 6 months.
  • October 10th 2019: Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city issued an order banning Ahmad Abu Ghazaleh from entering the old city of Jerusalem for a period of 10 days with the exception of going to school under the condition he is with one of his parents.
  • October 10th 2019: Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city issued an order banning 3 residents: Ayoub Hani Obied, Samir Nayef Obied and Wassim Nayef Obied {all are residents of Al-Eisawiya village} from their homes for a period of 9 days.   • October 11th 2019:  Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city issued an order banning the child: Mohammad Musbah Abu Sabieh {17 years old} from entering Al-Aqsa mosque for a period of 15 days as a condition for his release after being detained at an earlier time.
  • October 16th 2019: Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city issued an order banning Ismail Amin Nawahda {a preacher at Al-Aqsa mosque compound} from entering Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem for a period of 11 days as a condition for his release after being detained at an earlier time.
  • October 21st 2019: Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city issued orders banning 2 residents: Mohammad Ashraf Abu Shusheh and Habib Abu Shusheh {both are residents of Jerusalem city} from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque compound for a period of 15 days as a condition for their release after being detained at an earlier time.
  • October 21st 2019: Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city issued an order banning Ala Najib {a resident of the old city of Jerusalem} from entering Al-Aqsa mosque compound for a period of 2 weeks as a condition for his release after being detained at an earlier time.
  • October 29th 2019: Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city issued an order banning Ehab Abu Ghazalah {a Security Guard at Al-Aqsa mosque} from entering his work place at Al-Aqsa mosque until October 31st 2019 as condition for his released after being detained at an earlier time in side Bab Al-Rahma prayer area in Al-Aqsa mosque after he allegedly took photograph's of Israeli Police as they stormed the mosque.
  • October 29th 2019:  Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city issued an order banning Ramzi Abbissan {a resident of Jerusalem city} from entering Al-Aqsa mosque compound for a period of 2 weeks as a condition for his release after being detained at an earlier time.

  • On October 13th 2019, Israeli forces issued a military order to confiscated several dunums of land {plot #4} located in Nihalin town in order to expand "Alon Shvut" settlement.
  • On October 31st 2019, Israeli forces issued a military order for the confiscation of 3000 dunums of land in Al-Mussafar area located in east Yatta town {which begins from Manazil village until Arab Al-Rashayda "Al-Bariya"} for settlement expansion purposes.
  • On October 31st 2019, Israeli military forces issued a military order for the confiscation of 409 Dunums of land located in Ya'bad and Quffin towns and Barta'a, Turat , Al-Arqa, Zababda, Nazlat Zied and Dahr Al-Abd village in order to construct an additional concrete wall instead of barbed wire fencing.

During the month of October 2019, the Israeli military demolished 13 Palestinian homes and residential tents, which consisted of the following: 

  • On October 3rd 2019, Israeli forces demolished a home {under construction approximately 140 m2} owned by Mohammad Jabarin located in Al-Tayba village for allegedly being built without a license.
  • On October 3rd 2019, Israeli forces demolished a home {under constriction} owned by Ali Al-Alami near the main road connecting Hebron and Jerusalem in Wadi Al-Sheikh area in Beit Ummar town for allegedly built without a license.
  • On October 10th 2019, Israeli forces demolished several tents and confiscated solar panels owned by Jamil Mahmoud Al-Najada and his son Mahmoud located in Khirbeit Al-Daqiqa area located in southeast Yatta town.
  • On October 10th 2019, Israeli forces demolished 2 homes in Kissan village which is located in south Teqou' town {one of which is 150 m2 owned by Ayman Yacoub Ghazal and the other home is 120 m2 owned by Amjad Yacoub Ghazal} during which they clashed with several residents then detained 2 journalists who were reporting on the demolition.
  • On October 15th 2019, Israeli authorities in Jerusalem forced Mohammad Al-Atrash to demolish a section of a building he owns, which consists of 4 floors, and is located in Wadi Al-Hummus neighbourhood in Sur Baher village {claiming he must apply for a license from the Palestinian authority because of its location in Area (A)} and demolished a pent house and the floor beneath it because of its location near the main road in the village.
  • On October 22nd 2019, Israeli authorities forced Sultan Bashir to demolish his home {approximately 50 m2} located in Jabal Mukkabir neighbourhood in Jerusalem city and threatened to fine him {in the event that the Israeli Military implements the demolition order} for allegedly being built without a license.
  • On October 23rd 2019, Israeli forces demolished a building {consisting of 3 floors} located along Al-Quds road in Qalandiya camp which is owned by the family of Ali Hassan Khalifa {who was killed by Israeli forces}.
  • On October 24th 2019, Israeli forces demolished the family home of Islam Abu Humied {a Palestinian Detainee} in Al-Amary camp located in Al-Bireh city.
  • On October 29th 2019, Israeli forces demolished a home for allegedly being built without a licence during their raid into Khirbeit Jabarat village.
  • On October 29th 2019, Israeli forces demolished a home owned by Khalid Al-Faham in Al-Sunat neighbourhood in Jerusalem city for allegedly being built without a licence.
  • On October 29th 2019, Israeli authorities forced the resident: Loia Fihmi Obied to demolish his home {which is under construction} for allegedly being built without a licence after sending him a demolition order at an earlier time and threatened him with hefty financial penalties in the event that the Israeli military implements the demolition.

 Israeli settler raided the vicinity of Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem on several occasions.

  • October 8th 2019: Israeli forces stormed Al-Ibrahimi Mosque compound {the Tomb of the Patriarchs} in the Old City of Hebron then forcibly removed employees of Al-Awqaf {Palestinian Authority Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs} from inside the mosque in order to allow Israeli settlers to celebrate "Yom Kippur" holidays.
  • October 8th 2019: ,a group of Israeli settlers led by "Ori Arail" {Israeli Minister of Agriculture} and "Yehuda Glik" {A member of the Israeli Parliament} under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.
  • October 9th 2019: a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem, performed Talmudic rituals at the chapel of the School of the Tankazi (Court) located at the entrance of Al-Aqsa mosque and provoked worshipers.
  • October 16th 2019: a group of Israeli settlers led by "Ori Arail" {Israeli Minister of Agriculture} and "Yehuda Glik" {A member of the Israeli Parliament} under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.
  • October 16th 2019: The Israeli forces closed Al-Ibrahimi Mosque compound {the Tomb of the Patriarchs} in the Old City of Hebron and prevented residents from praying inside it, under the pretext of enabling the settlers to celebrate and perform the Talmudic rituals inside the compound on the occasion of the Jewish holiday "Sukkot'.
  • October 29th 2019:  Israeli forces stormed Bab Al-Rahma prayer area located in Al-Aqsa Mosque and temporarily detained a Security guard who took photographs of Israeli Police as they stormed the mosque.

  • On October 10th 2019: Israeli forces surrounded Saint Zachary Elementary school in Beit Sakriya village located in the centre of "Gush Etzyon" settlement in south Bethlehem city
  • On October 16th 2019: Israeli forces raided the old city of Jerusalem city and stormed "Al-Aytam" secondary school and as a result left school children terrified and terrorized.
  • On October 28th 2019, Israeli forces demolished a concrete fence surrounding a school {The Challenge School #17} during their raid into Dhaher al Malih village which is located behind the wall and confiscated containers which were used as class rooms.
  • On October 31st 2019, Israeli forces stormed Al-Jiftlik village school after alleged stoning and issued a warning to the school principle against continued stone throwing from the school area.
  • On October 31st 2019, Israeli forces stormed Palestine Polytechnic University {Al Arrub campus} and confiscated surveillance camera recorders.

  • On October 7th 2019, Israeli forces leveled approximately 30 dunums of land located in Abu Al-Mifalfal area near "Kharsina" settlement in east Hebron city in order to construct a new settlement outpost.
  • On October 11th 2019, Israeli authorities published the first phase for a tender for the construction of a facility to extract electrical energy from waste to be constructed near "Ma'ale Adumim" settlement located on residential owned land located in east Al-Eizariya town.
  • On October 13th 2019, Israeli authorities {council for construction in " Etzyon" settlement} approved plans for the construction of 251 settlement units {146 units in "Gush Etzyon" settlement located in south Bethlehem district and 105 units in "Kfar Al-Dad" settlement located in east Teqou town located in east Bethlehem city} on land occupied in 1967.

  • On the morning of October 5th 2019, Israeli forces stormed Al-Carmisan area located in west Beit Jalla city and levelled approximately 22 dunums of land planted with Olive and Almond groves and levelled a cave used as housing owned by Nasser Abd Rabbo.
  • On October 7th 2019, Israeli forces levelled a plot of land {approximately 30 dunums} {Plot #1} located in Al-Sahayil area in Assira Al-Qibliya village which is owned by Makhlouf and Salah Families.

Closure

Especially on Fridays, the Israeli military continues to intensify restrictions at checkpoints located at the entrances of Jerusalem, and to restrict entrance to the Al Aqsa Mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem, preventing worshippers from accessing the Mosque. At the Qalandiya checkpoint north of Jerusalem, the Israeli military continues to prevent PNA registered civilian vehicles from crossing the checkpoint towards Ar Ram and Qalandiya as well as Dahiyat al Bareed. The checkpoint is overcrowded daily, particularly during rush hours, due to intensified restrictions and search measures applied by Israeli troops. During the month of October 2019.  The Israeli military also continued to intensify restrictions at the Tayasir checkpoint and Al Hamra junction checkpoint leading to the Jordan Valley area, only allowing access to civilians whose IDs indicate District of Jericho residence or others holding special access permits. In addition, restrictions were intensified and civilian access was obstructed at the Za’tara junction checkpoint (separating the northern and central West Bank districts) as well as at the As Sawahira ash Sharqiya (the ‘Container’) checkpoint (separating the central and southern West Bank districts).

The Israeli military installed 344 flying checkpoints in October 2019 (382 in September and compared with 387 in August 2019) and as a result restricted the free access and movement of residents, merchant supplies and agricultural goods.

  • On October 11th 2019, Israeli forces demolished 2 homes in Kissan village which is located in south Teqou' town {one of which is 150 m2 owned by Ayman Yacoub Ghazal and the other home is 120 m2 owned by Amjad Yacoub Ghazal} during which they clashed with several residents then detained 2 journalists who were reporting on the demolition.
  • On October 15th 2019, Israeli authorities in Jerusalem forced Mohammad Al-Atrash to demolish a section of a building he owns, which consists of 4 floors, and is located in Wadi Al-Hummus neighbourhood in Sur Baher village {claiming he must apply for a license from the Palestinian authority because of its location in Area (A)} and demolished a pent house and the floor beneath it because of its location near the main road in the village.
  • On October 22nd 2019, Israeli authorities forced Sultan Bashir to demolish his home {approximately 50 m2} located in Jabal Mukkabir neighbourhood in Jerusalem city and threatened to fine him {in the event that the Israeli Military implements the demolition order} for allegedly being built without a license.
  • On October 23rd 2019, Israeli forces demolished a building {consisting of 3 floors} located along Al-Quds road in Qalandiya camp which is owned by the family of Ali Hassan Khalifa {who was killed by Israeli forces}.
  • On October 24th 2019, Israeli forces demolished the family home of Islam Abu Humied {a Palestinian Detainee} in Al-Amary camp located in Al-Bireh city.
  • On October 29th 2019, Israeli forces demolished a home for allegedly being built without a licence during their raid into Khirbeit Jabarat village.
  • On October 29th 2019, Israeli forces demolished a home owned by Khalid Al-Faham in Al-Sunat neighbourhood in Jerusalem city for allegedly being built without a licence.
  • On October 29th 2019, Israeli authorities forced the resident: Loia Fihmi Obied to demolish his home {which is under construction} for allegedly being built without a licence after sending him a demolition order at an earlier time and threatened him with hefty financial penalties in the event that the Israeli military implements the demolition.

Jerusalem:

  • On October 2nd 2019, Israeli forces demolished 4 live stock dens in Jabal Al-Mukabir neighbourhood in Jerusalem city for allegedly being built without licenses.
  • On October 3rd 2019, Israeli forces stormed Al-Dar Hotel in Jerusalem city and prevented cultural seminar entitled (Palestinian Civilization and its fight) from taking place, which was to be held in the hotel and temporarily detained 2 residents: Najeh Bakirat - Deputy Director of Al-Quds Endowments and Aziz Al-Ada then released them at a later time and served summons for several residents to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning (including Palestine TV cameraman Amir Abed Rabbo).
  • On October 29th 2019, Israeli forces demolished a storage den owned by Loia Mansour Mahmoud in Al-Eisawiya village for allegedly being built with out a licence.

Tubas:

  • On October 7th 2019, Israeli forces prevented residents from doing maintenance construction work on a Water well in Khirbeit Samra area in the North Jordan valley and temporarily detained construction workers.
  • On October 10th 2019, Israeli forces issued a military order to demolish a livestock den in Khirbit Makhoul area located in the North Jordan valley.
  •  On October 10th 2019, Israeli forces issued a military order to halt construction on a livestock den owned by Mohammad Ibrahim Issa Abu Al-Kabash in Hamseh area located in the North Jordan valley for allegedly being built without a license.

Nablus:

  • On October 20th 2019, Israeli forces prevented several residents from entering agricultural land located in Al-Izb area near Beit Furik town in order to harvest olives.
  • On October 20th 2019, Israeli forces prevented residents from entering agricultural land in Qaryut village to collect Olives claiming they do not have a permit to enter the area.
  • On October 22nd 2019, Israeli forces prevented several residents from entering agricultural land in Batshiyat area located in the western section of Qaryut village despite not having to seek prior coordination in order to enter the land.

Salfit:

  • On October 7th 2019, Israeli forces levelled approximately 4 dunums of land located in Al-Batun area in North Farkhat village and uprooted 160 Grape vines and 50 Almond groves, destroyed a stone wall owned by Hassan Abdallah Hassan and Ammar Saleem after they seized the plot of land.
  • On October 27th 2019, Israeli forces prevented several farmers from entering their agricultural land located behind the wall located near "Arail" settlement in west Salfit city despite having permits to enter the area and prevented several farmers from entering agricultural land in Mashat village which is located behind the wall despite having permits to enter the area.

Qalqiliya:

  • On October 5th 2019, a fire broke out on the 2nd floor apartment owned by Mohammad Matar after a tear gas canister fired by Israeli forces exploded during clashes in Azzun town and as a result damaged furniture before Palestinian Civil defense forces were able to extinguish the fire.
  • On October 8th 2019, Israeli forces prevented several farmers from harvesting Olives from their agricultural land located in Kafr Qaddum village {which is located near "Qaddumim" settlement} claiming the area a closed military zone.

Bethlehem:

  • On October 10th 2019, Israeli forces demolished a restaurant owned by Qaysiya family in Al-Makhrour area located in west Beit Jalla city for allegedly being built without a license.

Hebron:

  • On October 23rd 2019, Israeli forces levelled a main road, which connects Sa'ir town with several other villages located in east Jabal Qutiyat.

Confiscation of Property:

Jerusalem:

  • On October 7th 2019:  Israeli authorities positioned near the entrance of Anata town confiscated water tanks {holding 100 m3 of water} from a gas station {which is under construction} owned by Mazin Thiyab {a resident of Silwan neighbourhood} for allegedly not having a valid license.
  • On October 12th 2019, Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint located at the entrance of Biddu town confiscated a vehicle owned by Ameer Ismail Mustafa Hamed {a Palestinian Police officer} after detaining him.

Ramallah & Al-Bireh:

  • On October 7th 2019, Israeli forces confiscated documents, office equipment after storming, and searching Handala Cultural Center during their raid into Safa village.
  • On October 23rd 2019, Israeli forces confiscated 80000 NIS after storming and searching the family home of Mahmoud Ahed Hamed after detaining him during their raid into Silwad town.
  • On October 26th 2019, Israeli forces confiscated a tractor owned by Samer Ahmad Hasuna after detaining him near the entrance of Al-Jalazoun camp.

Tubas:

  • On October 8th 2019, Israeli forces confiscated a bulldozer owned by Mohammad Khader Fayad Bani Odeh during their raid into Atouf village.

Tulkarem:

  • On October 4th 2019, Israeli forces confiscated approximately 10000 NIS after storming and searching a home during their raid into Kafr Jamal village.
  • On October 6th 2019, Israeli forces confiscated a vehicle owned by Hadi Tawfiq Harshat after detaining him during their raid into Quffin town.
  • On October 13th 2019, Israeli forces confiscated a vehicle owned by Mohammad Abdel-Sammad Foqaha during their raid into Anabta town.
  • On October 16th 2019, Israeli forces confiscated 10000 NIS from the home of Abdel-Qadder Salama as they raided Bal'a town.

Bethlehem:

  • On October 2nd 2019,Israeli forces confiscated agricultural equipment from a plot of agricultural land and prevented workers from continuing renovations on the land located in Al-Munishat village because of its location in area C {which is under Israeli Military and administrative control}.

Hebron:

  • At dawn on October 1st 2019, Israeli forces confiscated a vehicle owned by Mohammad Ahmad Adi after storming his home during their raid into Beit Ummar town.
  • On the morning of October 10th 2019, Israeli forces confiscated several demolished tents and solar panels owned by Jamil Mahmoud Al-Najada and his son Mahmoud located in Khirbeit Al-Daqiqa area located in south east Yatta town.
  • On October 28th 2019, Israeli forces confiscated 1700 NIS from the home of Yasser Bannat during their raid into Al-Arrub camp.

 Settlement Activity:

  • On October 7th 2019, Israeli forces levelled approximately 30 dunums of land located in Abu Al-Mifalfal area near "Kharsina" settlement in east Hebron city in order to construct a new settlement outpost.
  • On October 11th 2019, Israeli authorities published the first phase for a tender for the construction of a facility {to extract electrical energy from waste} that will be constructed near "Ma'ale Adumim" settlement located on residential owned land located in east Al-Eizariya town.
  • On October 13th 2019, Israeli authorities {council for construction in " Etzyon" settlement} approved plans for the construction of 251 settlement units {146 units in "Gush Etzyon" settlement located in south Bethlehem district and 105 units in "Kfar Al-Dad" settlement located in east Teqou town located in east Bethlehem city} on land occupied in 1967.
  • On the morning of October 5th 2019, Israeli forces stormed Al-Carmisan area located in west Beit Jalla city and levelled approximately 22 dunums of land planted with Olive and Almond groves and levelled a cave used as housing owned by Nasser Abd Rabbo.
  • On October 7th 2019, Israeli forces levelled a plot of land {approximately 30 dunums} {Plot #1} located in Al-Sahayil area in Assira Al-Qibliya village which is owned by Makhlouf and Salah Families.
  • On October 10th 2019, Israeli forces levelled a plot of land located in Al-Hima area in the North Jordan valley near a settlement outpost built in the area.
  • On October 29th 2019, Israeli forces levelled a plot of land owned by Ishaq Mohammad Mustafa Hamdan in Al-Eisawiya village.

Jerusalem:

  • On October 5th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Police officers stormed Bab Al-Rahma Cemetery located near the east wall of Al-Aqsa mosque in the Old city of Jerusalem then performed Talmudic rituals in the area.
  • On October 8th 2019, an Israeli settler stormed Batn Al-Hawa area in Silwan neighbourhood in Jerusalem city and tossed a handmade explosive device {which did not explode} towards several children during which Israeli forces closed down the area so as to disable the device.

Ramallah &Al-Bireh:

  • On October 12th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers from "Nili" settlement stormed agricultural land in Deir Ammar village and assaulted 2 residents: Musad Abdallah Daud and Tarik Abdallah Daud as they were harvesting Olives.
  • At dawn on October 16th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers stormed Deir Ammar village, slashed the tires of 4 vehicles and spray painted racist and anti-arab slogans on the walls of several homes and vehicles.
  • On October 23rd 2019, a group of Israeli settlers from "Halamish" settlement stormed agricultural land located in Um Safa village and assaulted several residents who were harvesting olives on agricultural land located in the west area of the village.
  • On October 25th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Turmus'aya town and opened fire randomly towards several residents.
  • On the evening of October 25th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers assaulted several residents as they were harvesting Olives on agricultural land in Um Safa village and attempted to force them out the land.

Jenin:

  • On October 8th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers stormed several homes {under construction} located in Silat Al-Thahir town and vandalized and damaged several pillars and walls.
  • On October 14th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land near "Homish" settlement, {which was previously evacuated} located in Silat adh Dhahr town, threw stones towards several employees of the Directorate of Health in Qabatiya town {after they surrounded them of a hill top} as they were harvesting Olives on a plot of land owned by Mo'ayad Maloul {a resident of Silat Dhahr town}.
  • On October 23rd 2019, an Israeli settler attacked members of Atatra families as they were collecting Olives on agricultural land in Khirbiet Masaud area which is located in Dhaher al 'Abed village then proceeded to steal several sacks of harvested olives.
  • On October 23rd 2019, a group of Israeli settlers from "Movo Dotan" settlement stormed agricultural land in Ya'bad town and assaulted several members of Abu Bakr family as they were harvesting olives on agricultural land located near the settlement.

Tubas:

  • On October 10th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers stormed Ein Al-Hilweh area located in the North Jordan valley and seized the main water spring as they did maintenance work thus preventing farmers from accessing the spring.

Tulkarem:

  • On October 14th 2019, an armed Israeli settler from "Avnei Hefetz" settlement stormed agricultural land located in Shufa village and attacked several residents who were harvesting Olives during which local residents were able to chase the settler away from the area.
  • On October 31st 2019, a group of Israeli settlers from "Avnei Hefetz" settlement stormed a plot of agricultural land owned by Mohammad Darubi located in North Izbat Shufat village.

Nablus:

  • On October 7th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land located in south Burin village and assaulted Waleed Al-Najjar as he was harvesting Olives.
  • On October 7th 2019, Israeli settlers from "Yitzhar" settlement stole Olives from approximately 36 Olive trees located in Khilat Al-Ghol area located in south Burin village owned by Nasser Ismail Qaddus and Ahmad Sa'id Al-Najjar.
  • October 8th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers from "Yitzhar" settlement set fire to agricultural land located in south Burin village and as a result burned approximately 70 Olive trees before Palestinian Civil defence forces were able to extinguish the flames.
  • On the evening of October 8th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers positioned near Al-Libban Al-Sharqiya village stoned several vehicles travelling along the main road connecting Nablus and Ramallah districts and as a result damaged several vehicles.
  • On October 10th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers stormed Khilet Qatat area located in Burin village and stole Olive harvests from land owned by Ibrahim Ali Eid.
  • On the evening of October 14th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers stormed Khirbet Um Al-Marajim area located in Duma village and sprayed pepper spray onto the face of Zubada Musalam and as a result left her hospitalized.
  • On October 16th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers stormed Khilet Al-Ras located in Burin town and assaulted several residents {including International Peace activists} who were collecting Olives and as a result injured several residents.
  • On October 18th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Burin village and assaulted Mohammad Zakariya Assous {a resident of Burin village} as he was harvesting Olives and as a result, left him hospitalized with contusions.
  • On October 18th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in east Burin village and assaulted several residents who were harvesting Olives and as a result injured 3 residents then stole several sacks of Olives.
  • On October 21st 2019, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land located in the area between Qusra town and Jalud village, stoned a home {which is abandoned} owned by Tawfik Al-Shubaki and as a result broke several windows then proceeded to chop off the limbs of several Olive tree.
  • On October 21st 2019, a group of Israeli settlers from "Esh Kodesh" settlement outpost stormed agricultural land in Qusra town, stoned several residents as they were harvesting olives on their agricultural land and as a result shattered the windows of a vehicle owned by Abdel-Hakeem Al-Wadi.
  • On the evening of October 21st 2019, a group of Israeli settler positioned near Al Lubban ash Sharqiya village and stoned several vehicles travelling along the main road that connects Ramallah and Nablus.
  • On October 23rd 2019, a group of Israeli settlers from "Shavei Shomron" settlement stormed agricultural land in Deir Sharaf village and stole several sacks of harvested Olives then proceeded to break the limbs of several Olive trees.
  • At dawn on October 25th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers stormed Yatma village and slashed the tires of 31 vehicles and spray painted anti Arab and racist slogans on to the walls of several homes.
  • On October 26th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers from "Itamar" settlements stole several sacks of Olive harvest and chopped off the limbs of several Olive tree on agricultural land in Beit Furik town located near the settlement.
  • At dawn on October 28th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers stormed the northern area of Huwara town {near "Yitzhar" settlement junction} and spray painted anti-arab and racist slogans on the wall of a home owned by Sabri Najeeb Nassar.
  • On October 29th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers from "Ytzhar" settlement stormed agricultural land in Al-Naqqar area located in Huwara town and stole Olive harvest.
  • On October 30th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land located in Ras Hazim area in Deir Al-Hatab village, is located near “Elon Moreh” settlement, stole Olive harvest, and broke the limbs of several Olive tree.
  • On October 30th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers from "Yitzhar" settlement stormed agricultural land ,located in Al-Naqqar area in Huwara town, and assaulted several residents as they were harvesting Olives and as a result injured 3 residents: Nasser Al-Huwari {Head of town council}, Kamal Odah {Deputy Head of the town council} and Mohammad Shihada leaving them hospitalized with contusions.
  •  On October 30th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land located in Ras Hazim area in Deir Al-Hatab village, is located near “Elon Moreh” settlement, stole Olive harvest, and broke the limbs of several Olive tree.

Qalqiliya:

  • On October 11th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers positioned near Jinsafut village stoned several vehicles travelling along the main road connecting Qalqiliya and Nablus and as a result damaged a Taxi cab owned by Jihad Mustafa Abed Ramadan {a resident of Tel village in Nablus district}.
  • On October 14th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Kafr Qaddum village and pointed guns towards several residents.
  • On the afternoon of October 28th 2019, a Israeli settler {a Security Guard} in "Kedumim" settlement located in Kafr Qaddum village assaulted several farmers as they were harvesting Olives and chased them out of the agricultural land located near the settlement.

Salfit:

  • On October 6th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers stormed Qirat village, slashed the tires of 13 vehicles owned by: Hikmat Majed, Nael Majid, Nesfat Majed, Yassin Abu Shamma, Naseem Abu Shamma, Salim Dallani, Rami Dallani, Bassel Arbasi, Jasser Arabasi, Raed Saleh, Nassim Abboud, Fathi Bouzieh; then spray painted anti-Arab and racist slogans on the walls of several homes and vehicles.
  • On October 13th 2019, Israeli settlers stormed Marda village, slashed the tires of 5 vehicles and spray painted racist slogans on homes and several vehicles.
  • On October 13th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Kafr Al-Dik town and chopped off the limbs of several Olive trees owned by Ashraf Tahseen Hamdan.
  • On October 21st 2019, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Yasuf village and stole harvested Olives then withdrew under the protection of the Israeli Military.
  • On October 23rd 2019, a group of Israeli settlers from "Kfar Tapuah" settlement stormed agricultural land in Yasuf village and stole several tools {Mattresses, ladders and Olive picking tools} owned by Mohammad Sayil and Issam Ali Abdallah.
  • On October 24th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers from "Kfar Tapuah" settlement stormed agricultural land located in Yasuf village and assaulted 8 families who were harvesting Olives on agricultural land and stole several sacks of harvested olives.
  • On October 26th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Yassuf village and assaulted several residents who were harvesting Olives.

Bethlehem:

  • On October 2nd 2019, an Israeli settler driving his vehicle near Al-Faradis village junction ran over the child: Khadijat Murad Tanuj {10 years old} and as a result left her hospitalized with contusions.
  • On October 13th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Al-Khadr town located near "Gush Etzyon" settlement and assaulted several residents as they were harvesting Olives from their agricultural land and as a result injured a resident leaving him hospitalized with head injuries.
  • On October 15th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers positioned near the entrance of Al-Fureidis village stoned several vehicles travelling in the area and as a result damaged a vehicles owned by Hazim Jamal Al-Tamimi {a resident of Hebron city}.
  • On October 16th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers from "Beit Ayin" settlement stormed agricultural land located in Al-Jub'a village then threw stones towards several members of Ihmidat family who were harvesting Olives.
  • On October 17th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers from "Beitar Illit" settlement stormed agricultural land in Wadi Quffin village then performed Talmudic rituals.
  • On October 19th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land located in Al-Jub'a village then stoned several residents who were collecting Olives.
  • On October 26th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Al-Jamjoum area located in Nahhalin town and near "Bat Ayin" settlement and chopped the limbs and stole olive from approximately 25 Olive trees owned by Yusef Abdel-Rahman Fanoun and Abed Talib Mahmoud Fanoun then spray painted anti-arab and threats on several boulders in the area .
  • On October 28th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers from "Beitar Illit" settlement stormed agricultural land in Nahhalin town and stoned several residents who were harvesting olives and as a result injured Yusef Mohammad Sabatin.

Hebron:

  • On October 2nd 2019, a group of Israeli settlers from "Ramat Yashi" settlement located in Tel Al-Rumayda neighbourhood in the old city of Hebron assaulted 3 children {the sons of Taysir Abu Eihsat} {whose ages range from 11 to 13 years} near their home.
  • On October 19th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers attacked several homes located near the entrance of Bani Na'im town.
  • On October 20th 2019, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Khilet Ein Ghanim area located in Surif town and assaulted several residents who were collecting olives.
  • On October 21st 2019, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Assir area located in east Al-Ash Shuyukh town and assaulted several residents who were collecting olives {for the 2nd consecutive time}.

Closure of Crossing Points

The Israeli military completely closed crossing points into the Gaza Strip, including access points within the Green Line, on 158 occasions during the month of October 2019. The Israeli military closed crossing points within the Green Line on 118 occasions. It opened Beit Hanun (Erez) Crossing for 21 days for previously coordinated humanitarian cases and foreign nationals and Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing for 16 days for transportation of food supplies, humanitarian aid, and cooking gas. In addition to allowing in animal feed, construction cargo designated for UNRWA and internationally funded projects was transported through the Crossing. Sufa Crossing was closed throughout the month. On the other hand, the Israeli authorities have continued to unilaterally close Ash Shuja’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Israeli authorities has also continued to completely close Al Muntar (Karnei) Commercial Crossing.

 

The Israeli military closed international crossing points on 40 occasions. Rafah Crossing was closed on 9 occasions. Yasser Arafat International Airport has remained closed since the outbreak of the second Intifada.
