MONTHLY SUMMARY OF ISRAELI VIOLATIONS

The following summary tables and overview of events survey hostile Israeli activities during the period 01 October 2020 to October 31 2020. The report includes a summary table of events, classified by type, throughout the West Bank and Gaza Strip, in addition to a comparative table surveying events over the past three months. The survey is compiled from the Daily Situation Reports of the Palestinian Monitoring Group (PMG) of the Negotiations Affairs Department (NAD) of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). The PMG monitors ground conditions in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, including Israeli and Palestinian violations. The information reported through the PMG process represents data available at the time of distribution only. 

 

 

Sample of Israeli Violations during the Month of  October  2020

  • On 01.10.2020, Jawad Muhammad Abu Aziz - resident of Yatta town was injured and bruised, as a result of being run over by an Israeli police vehicle, and he was taken to the hospital for treatment.
  • On 01.10.2020,  Adham Anwar Ahmad Al-Shaer - resident of Burqa village sustained a serious eye injury after he was shot by Israeli forces during clashes in Sebastia village.
  • On 02.10.2020, the occupation forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades and tear gas, near the eastern (closed) entrance in the village of Kafr Qaddum, at the protesters in protest against the closure of the village entrance, under the pretext that it had been pelted with stones, wounding 15 citizens (Including 3 journalists), and a number of civilians suffocated due to tear gas inhalation.
  • On 02.10.2020, the occupying forces in charge of guarding the separation wall near the village of Far'oun severely beat Raafat Ghaleb Mansour - residents of Kafr Qalil village, which led to his injury - fractures in his foot and hand, and he was brought Hospital for treatment.

  • On 22.10.2020, the occupation forces severely beat the citizen: Yusef Tariq Darwish - resident of the village of Al-Issawiya, in the city of Jerusalem, which led to his injuries and a tear in the right retina and fractures of the face, and he was admitted to the hospital for treatment.
  • On 25.10.2020, the child: Amer Abd Al-Rahim Sanoub, 18 years old - resident of Yatma village - Nablus governorate, was killed near the town of Turmusaya as a result of the occupation forces severely beating him with rifle butts on his neck from the back, after they arrested him after chasing him while driving a vehicle.
  • On 29.10.2020, the occupying forces, present in the vicinity of the Jalameh checkpoint, shot at a vehicle carrying 3 children:  Mahmoud Ahmed Musa Khalil, 15 years old (seriously injured), Taha Shady Al-Samen, 16 years old, and Muhammad Zakaria Al-Zubeidi, 17 years old (all residents of Jenin camp)., seriously wounding (one of them -), under the pretext that unknown persons opened fire at the occupation forces in the vicinity of the checkpoint).
  • On 30.10.2020,  the occupation forces fired live and metallic rubber-coated bullets, stun grenades and tear gas in the Bab Al-Zawiya area in Hebron city at the citizens, under the pretext that they were pelted with stones, wounding a child:  Nidal Muhammad Al-Zughayer{ 17 years old}, and injuring a number of citizens - suffocation due to inhaling tear gas

During  the month of October  2020 Israeli Authorities deported 14 residents from their place of residence which included the following:

On 10/01/2020, the occupation authorities in the city of Jerusalem imposed deportation of the citizen: Hisham Al-Bashiti - residents of the city of Jerusalem, for a period of 3 months from Al-Aqsa Mosque, as a condition for his release after they arrested him earlier.

On 05.10.2020 The occupation authorities in Jerusalem imposed deportation of the citizen: Raafat Samih Muhammad Najib - Sakka, the Old City of Jerusalem, for a period of 5 months from Al-Aqsa Mosque and the roads leading to it.

On 13.10.2020,the occupation authorities in the city of Jerusalem imposed deportation of 2 children (siblings), for a period of 10 days from the Old City of Jerusalem, in addition to house detention for a period of 5 days, as a condition for their release after they arrested them earlier Abd al-Rahman al-Bashiti, 16, and his brother Hatem, 17
On 13.10.2020,, the occupation authorities in Jerusalem imposed deportation on the citizen: Issa Bashir Musa Fairawi, for a period of 10 days from the Old City of Jerusalem, in addition to a fine of 6000 shekels.
On October 15, 2020, the occupation authorities in Jerusalem imposed a decision to deport the citizen: Asaad Ajaj, for a week from Al-Aqsa Mosque, as a condition for his release after they detained him earlier.

On the evening of 10/19/2020, the occupation authorities in the city of Jerusalem issued a decision to deport 2 citizens Issa Barakat and Saed Al-Salamat (from the Al-Aqsa Mosque guards), for a week from their workplace in Al-Aqsa Mosque, as a condition for their release after they detained them earlier.

On 10/22/2020, the occupation authorities imposed a decision in Jerusalem to deport the citizen: Asaad Ajaj - residents of the city of Jerusalem, for a period of 5 months from Al-Aqsa Mosque, after they summoned him for investigation at the Israeli police station.

On 10/28/2020, the occupation authorities in Jerusalem issued a decision to deport the citizen: Saif Samira (an employee in the Islamic Endowments Department), for an indefinite period, from Al-Aqsa Mosque, as a condition for his release after detaining him earlier.
On 10/28/2020, the occupation authorities in Jerusalem issued a decision to deport the citizen: Najeh Bikirat (Deputy Director General of the Jerusalem Endowments) for a week from Al-Aqsa Mosque, as a condition for his release after he was arrested earlier.

  • On 10/13/2020,  a group of settlers entered the citizens' agricultural lands belonging to the village of Al Jab'a, which is located near the settlement of "Beit Ain", by stealing the olive fruit crop on an area estimated at 100 dunams, and broke the branches of a number of olive trees.
  • On 10/14/2020, a group of settlers entered the agricultural lands of the citizens of the village of Al-Jab'a, and cut branches of about 200 olive trees owned by the citizen: Khaled Naji Mahmoud Masha'leh, and withdrew at 18:30.

Hebron:

  • On 10/02/2020,  a settler was driving his vehicle in Khirbet Khallat Al-Niyas, located between the villages of Susiya and Al-Simiya near the town of Al-Samou, when a settler ran over a herd of sheep owned by a citizen: Ali Al-Awawdeh, resulting in the death of 10 of them.
  • On 10/04/2020,  a group of settlers in the Tel Rumeida neighborhood in the Old City of Hebron assaulted 6 civilians: Imad Abu Haykal, Labib Abu Haykal, Hussein Abu Heikal, Ahmed Abu Haikal, Wadih Abu Haykal, and Shuaib Abdul Basit.

Closure of Crossing Points
