Monthly Violations Report October 2022
The following summary tables and overview of events survey hostile Israeli activities during the period 01 October 2022 to 31 October 2022. The report includes a summary table of events, classified by type, throughout the West Bank and Gaza Strip, in addition to a comparative table surveying events over the past three months. The survey is compiled from the Daily Situation Reports of the Palestinian Monitoring Group (PMG) of the Negotiations Affairs Department (NAD) of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). The PMG monitors ground conditions in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, including Israeli and Palestinian violations.. The information reported through the PMG process represents data available at the time of distribution only.

Analysis of Events
Killings
A total of 31 residents were killed by Israeli forces during the month of October 2022 {30 in the West Bank and 1 in Gaza}:
- 10/1/2022: The civilian: Muhammad Khaled Damdoum, 18 years old was killed after Israeli occupation forces opened fire towards him in the town of Al-Eizariya.
- 10/3/2022: The civilians killed 2 citizens: Khaled Fadi Anbar, 21 years old, and Salama Raafat Sharia, 18 years old were killed after Israeli occupation forces opened fire towards a vehicle in the Dahiyat al-Ta’beeh al-Ta’aleem area north of Ramallah city.
- 10/05/2022: The civilian: Alaa Nasser Ahmed Zaal, 17 years old, a resident of Askar camp in Nablus was killed during confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces in the village of Deir al-Hatab.
- 10/07/2022: The civilian: Adel Ibrahim Adel Daoud, 14 years old was killed during confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces in the Al-Baireen area south of Qalqilya.
- 10/08/2022: The civilian: Mahdi Muhammad Abd al-Muti Ladawa, 17 years old was killed during confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces in the Harisha area in the town of Mazraa al-Gharbiyye.
- 10/10/2022: The 2 civilians: Ahmed Muhammad Hussein Daraghmeh,{19 years old} a resident of Tubas, and Mahmoud Moayed Al-Sous {18 years old} a resident of Jenin refugee camp were killed during confrontations with Israeli occupation forces in Jenin camp.
- 10/10/2022: the child: Mahmoud Muhammad Khalil Samoudi, 12 years old - a resident of Al-Yamoun town, died of serious wounds sustained as a result of the Israeli forces’ firing while storming Jenin refugee camp (as mentioned in a report on 09.29.2022).
- 10/12/2022: The civilian: Osama Sami Mahmoud Adawi, 18 years old was killed after during confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces near the entrance to Al-Arroub camp
- 10/14/2022: the prisoner: Muhammad Maher Al-Saeed Gwadra, 17 years old - resident of Jenin camp, died at an Israeli hospital after he summumbed to his injuries after suffering severe burns during his arrest in the Jordan Valley on 09/04/2022.
- 10/14/2022: The 2 civilians: Doctor Abdullah Abu Al-Teen, 43 years old, and Matin Faeq Dbaya, 28 years old were killed after Israeli forces opened fire towards them during clashes in Jenin city.
- 10/15/2022: The civilian: Qais Emad Khaled Shujaiya, 23 years old - a resident of Deir Jarir village was killed after Israeli occupation forces opened fire towards him in the Dahiyat al-Tarbah area, north of the city of al-Bireh.
- 10/15/2022: The civilian: Mujahid Ahmed Daoud, 31 years old - a resident of Haris village was killed during confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces in the town of Qarawat Bani Hassan .
- 10/20/ 2022: the child: Muhammad Fadi Nuri, 16 years old - a resident of the town of Beituniya, succumbed to serious wounds he sustained during confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces near the northern entrance to the city of Al-Bireh during the last month.
- 10/21/2022: The civilian: Uday Al-Tamimi, 22 years old {who is accused by the Israeli occupation forces carrying out an operation at the Shuafat checkpoint in Jerusalem} was killed after Israeli occupation forces positioned near the entrance to the settlement of "Ma'ale Adumim" opened fire towards him.
- 10/22/2022: The civilian: Salah Abdel Rahim Muhammad Abdel Rahim Briki, 19 years old - a resident of Jenin was killed during confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces in the city of Jenin.
- 10/23/2022: the citizen: Tamer Zaid Al-Kilani, 33 years old - a resident of Nablus, was killed in an assassination operation carried out by the Israeli occupation forces with an explosive device on a motorcycle in the old city of Nablus.
- 10/24/2022: The civilian: Qusai Mahmoud Al-Tamimi, 20 years old - a resident of the village of Al-Nabi Saleh was killed during confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces near the entrance to the village of Al-Nabi Saleh.
- 10/24/2022: The 5 civilians: Wadih Al-Houh, 31 years old, Ali Antar Turabi, 26 years old, Hamdi Muhammad Sabri Sharaf, 35 years old, Mishaal Zahi Ahmed Baghdadi, 27 years old, and Hamdi Qayyim 30 years old were killed during confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces in the city of Nablus.
- 10/27/2022: The two civilians: Al-Askari Imad Yousef Abu Rashid, 47 years old, and Al-Askari Ramzi Sami Saeed Zubarah, 35 years old - both residents of Askar refugee camp in Nablus were killed after Israeli occupation forces positioned the vicinity of Hawara Checkpoint opened fire towards them.
- 10/29/2022: The civilian: Muhammad Kamel Al-Jabari, 34 years old, a resident of Hebron was killed after Israeli occupation forces opened fire towards him near the "Kiryat Arieh" settlement, east of Hebron.
- 10/30/2022: The civilian: Barakat Musa Younis Odeh, 49 years old - a resident of Al-Eizariya town was killed after Israeli occupation forces opened fire towards him while he was driving his vehicle near the southern entrance to the city of Jericho.
Injuries
A total of 258 injuries were reported in the month of October 2022 {257 Palestinians in the West Bank and 1 in the Gaza Strip). Including 18 children.
Arrests
During the month of October 2022, the Israeli military arrested 518 Palestinians {513 in the West Bank and 5 in the Gaza Strip). The majority of arrests took place in the districts: 158 Jerusalem,78 Ramallah, 24 Jenin, 4 Tubas, 8 Tulkarm, 22 Qalqilya, 59 Nablus, 7 Salfit, 16 Jericho, 39 Bethlehem, 98 Hebron and 5 North Gaza.

Closure
Especially on Fridays, the Israeli military continues to intensify restrictions at checkpoints located at the entrances of Jerusalem, and to restrict entrance to the Al Aqsa Mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem, preventing worshippers from accessing the Mosque. At the Qalandiya checkpoint north of Jerusalem, the Israeli military continues to prevent PNA registered civilian vehicles from crossing the checkpoint towards Ar Ram and Qalandiya as well as Dahiyat al Bareed. The checkpoint is overcrowded daily, particularly during rush hours, due to intensified restrictions and search measures applied by Israeli troops. During the month of October 2022, the Israeli military also continued to intensify restrictions at the Tayasir checkpoint and Al Hamra junction checkpoint leading to the Jordan Valley area, only allowing access to civilians whose IDs indicate District of Jericho residence or others holding special access permits. In addition, restrictions were intensified and civilian access was obstructed at the Za’tara junction checkpoint (separating the northern and central West Bank districts) as well as at the As Sawahira ash Sharqiya (the ‘Container’) checkpoint (separating the central and southern West Bank districts).
The Israeli military installed 355 checkpoints in October 2022 (Compared with 279 checkpoints in September 2022 and and 268 checkpoints in August 2022) as a result restricted the free access and movement of residents, merchant supplies and agricultural goods.

Home Demolition
The Israeli occupation forces demolished 27 homes during October 2022 including:
- 10/03/2022: the Israeli occupation forces demolished a house and agricultural facilities for a citizen located in the Bedouin community, near the village of Ramon.
- 10/03/2022: the Israeli occupation forces demolished a house owned by Musa Muhammad Al-Amour in Al-Deirat area, east of Yatta, under the pretext of not having a permit.
- 10/03/2022: the Israeli occupation forces demolished a house (under construction) owned by: Hisham Eida, in the Beit Ainun area, north of Hebron under the pretext of not having a license.
- 10/03/2022: the Israeli occupation forces demolished a 120-square-meter house in the Jabal Jawhar area in Hebron city, owned by: Arafat Nabil Al-Rajabi, under the pretext of not having a permit.
- 10/06/2022: the Israeli occupation forces demolished, in the Khallet Taha area, west of Dura town, a house owned by: Muhammad Noah Theeb Al-Hroub.
- 10/08/2022: the Israeli occupation authorities in Wadi Al-Joz neighborhood in Jerusalem forced the family of the citizen: Haj Yahya, to demolish their 120-square-meter house built 15 years ago after receiving a notification in order to avoid paying heavy fines in case the occupation authorities carried out the demolition, under the pretext of not having a permit.
- 10/09/2022: the Israeli occupation forces in the Juheish area, southeast of Susiya village, demolished 4 houses, under the pretext of not having a permit.
- 10/13/2022: the Israeli occupation authorities in the village of Sur Baher forced the citizen: Ibrahim Hamed, to personally demolish his 170-square-meter house, after notifying him earlier, in order to avoid paying heavy fines in the event that the Israeli occupation authorities carry out the demolition process, on the pretext that there was no licensing.
- 10/20/2022: the Israeli occupation forces demolished a 120-square-meter house owned by: Muhammad Noah Al-Hroub, under the pretext of not having a license in the Khallet Taha area of Dura town.
- 10/23/2022: the Israeli occupation authorities in the Jabal Al-Mukabber neighborhood in Jerusalem forced the citizen: Muhammad Jaabis, to personally demolish his 100-square-meter house, after notifying him earlier, in order to avoid paying heavy fines in the event the occupation authorities carry out the demolition. under the pretext of not having a license.
- 10/25/2022: the Israeli occupation forces demolished and confiscated two residential tents in the Al-Jawaya gathering area, east of Yatta, owned by the citizens: Adham Ahmed Al-Shawaheen and Musa Hassan Al-Shawaheen and they physically assaulted the elderly citizen: Ahmed Al-Shawaheen, 70 years old who was hospitalized with contusions.
- 10/25/2022: the Israeli occupation forces demolished a house (consisting of two floors - under construction) in Yaqin area in Bani Naim town owned by the citizen: Muhammad Rashid Idais Manasra, under the pretext of not having a license, and arrested a citizen while he was in the place.
- 10/25/2022: the Israeli occupation forces demolished 3 houses (one of them under construction) in the village of Ain Al-Diouk Al-Tahta, owned by the citizens: Abdel Fattah Amin Abu Saleh, Abdel Hamid Al Natsheh, and Adel Ibrahim Attia, under the pretext of not having a license.

- 10/26/2022: the Israeli occupation authorities demolished a room on the top floor of the house of Rasmi Al-Ajlouni in the Old City of Jerusalem under the pretext of not having a license.
- 10/28/2022: the Israeli occupation authorities in Jabal Mukaber neighborhood in Jerusalem forced the citizen: Khaled Muhammad Sawan, to personally demolish the foundations of his house (under construction), after notifying him earlier, in order to avoid paying heavy fines in the event the occupation authorities carry out an operation Demolition, on the pretext of not having a permit.
- 10/28/2022: the Israeli occupation authorities in the Al-Tur neighborhood in Jerusalem forced the citizen: Iyad Al-Imam to personally demolish part of his house with an area of 130 square meters, after notifying him earlier, in order to avoid paying heavy fines in the event of the occupation authorities The demolition process, on the pretext of not having a permit.
- 10/29/2022: the Israeli occupation authorities in the Shuafat neighborhood in Jerusalem forced the citizen: Abdul Hadi Abu Issa to personally demolish his 50-square-meter house, after notifying him earlier, in order to avoid paying heavy fines in the event the occupation authorities carry out the demolition, on the pretext of not having a permit.
- 10/29/2022: the Israeli occupation authorities forced the citizen: Azzam Abu Asab, on Salah El-Din Street in Jerusalem, to demolish part of his house himself, after notifying him earlier, in order to avoid paying heavy fines in the event that the occupation authorities carried out the demolition, on the pretext of not having licensing.
- 10/31/2022: the Israeli occupation forces demolished a house (under construction) owned by Azzam Abdel Aziz Jaber, in the Al-Baq'a area, east of Hebron, under the pretext of not having a license.
- 10/31/2022: the Israeli occupation forces demolished a 150-square-meter house (under construction) owned by the citizen: Muhammad Hassan Daoud, in the Umm Lasfa area of Khallet al-Miya town, east of Yatta.

Jerusalem:
- 10/07/2022: the Israeli occupation forces in the Wadi al-Rababa area in the Silwan neighborhood prevented the farmers from picking the olive crops from their lands, and forced them to leave by force.
Ramallah &Al-Bireh:
- 10/03/2022: the Israeli occupation forces demolished agricultural facilities in the Bedouin settlement near Ramon village, in addition to demolishing a house for a citizen.
- 10/12/2022: the Israeli occupation forces damaged tires and smashed their windows of a vehicle owned by Omar Harb while he was picking olives from his land near the village of Bitlo.
Tubas:
- 10/06/2022: the Israeli occupation forces destroyed a vegetable stand owned by: Shadi Nabil Aref Faqha in the village of Ain al-Bayda in the northern Jordan Valley.
- 10/29/2022: the Israeli occupation forces positioned in the northern Jordan Valley pursued the shepherds in the pastoral lands, and threatened to shoot them if they did not leave the place.
Nablus:
- 10/07/ 2022: the Israeli occupation forces positioned in the eastern region of the village of Awarta, prevented 3 Palestinian farmers from reaching the olive harvest from their lands: Samir Awad, Samer Awad, and Muhammad Awad.
- 10/08/ 2022: the Israeli occupation forces positioned in the eastern region of Awarta village (for the second day in a row), prevented the farmers from reaching the olive harvest from their lands.
- 10/16/ 2022: the Israeli occupation forces demolished storage den owned by: Khalil Al-Faqih near the intersection of the Al-Murabba'a area of the village of Tal.
- 10/20/ 2022: a bulldozer belonging to the Israeli occupation forces destroyed a water pump and buried it with dirt, which feeds the villages of Burin, Madama, Asira al-Qibliya and Urif, which led to the interruption of drinking water.
Salfit:
- 10/09/2022: the Israeli occupation forces prevented the farmers from reaching the olive harvest from their lands in the Al-Wajh Al-Shami area in the lands of Haris village near the “Rafafa” settlement, and forced them to leave the place by force.
Hebron:
- 10/03/2022: the Israeli occupation forces demolished two warehouses owned by the citizen: Mahmoud Muhammad Al-Amour, in the Al-Dirat area, east of Yatta, under the pretext of not having a license.
- 10/27/ 2022: the Israeli occupation forces destroyed a private vehicle owned by: Yousef Awad Badran Awad, which was parked next to the road near the entrance to the town during their raid into the town of Beit Ummar (as mentioned in the previous report).
- 10/31/ 2022: the Israeli occupation forces stormed in the Tel Rumeida neighborhood in the old city of Hebron the Center for Resilience and Challenge of the Youth Against Settlements Gathering, located near the “Ramat Yishai” settlement built on the lands of citizens in the neighborhood, and handed a 24-hour notice to close it.
- 10/31/ 2022: the Israeli occupation forces bulldozed about 20 olive trees opposite the watchtower located in Wadi Sa’ir, owned by the citizen: Abd Rabbo al-Shalaldeh, with the aim of expanding the settlement road passing through his land.

- 10/01/2022: the Israeli occupation forces confiscated $13,000 from the home of Omar Nakhleh during their raid into Al-Jalazun camp.
- 10/15/2022: the Israeli occupation forces confiscated drilling machines owned by: Hani Muhammad Saleh during their arid into Bietilo village.
Tubas:
- 10/19/ 2022: the Israeli occupation forces confiscated a truck loaded with materials for construction purposes owned by a citizen during their raid into the village of Kurdala in the northern Jordan Valley.
- 10/23/2022: the Israeli occupation forces in Wadi Al-Faw area in the northern Jordan Valley confiscated a towed vehicle owned by: Khaled Salahat, loaded with equipment for installing solar cells to generate electric power, provided by the Palestinian Energy Authority to the families of the citizens living in the area.
Tulkarem:
- 10/01/2022: the Israeli occupation forces confiscated a bulldozer owned by Imad Harsha, while it was working on the town's lands in the town of Qafin.
- 10/01/2022: the Israeli occupation forces confiscated a bulldozer and two trucks in the village of Shufa owned by the citizens: Thaer Badawi, Ahmed Mohamed Hamed, and Ismail Saleh.
Qalqiliya:
- 10/04/2022: the Israeli occupation forces confiscated a bulldozer owned by: Abdel Malik Fouad Rayan - residents of Azzun town in the area between Jayyous town and the village of Nabi Elias.
Nablus:
- 10/13/2022: the Israeli occupation forces confiscated a bulldozer owned by a citizen, while it was working to build a road on the eastern side of the village of Beit Dajan to enable the farmers to reach their lands.
- 10/30/ 2022: the Israeli occupation forces confiscated an agricultural tractor owned by: Raja Owais, while he was picking olives from his land in the village of al-Lubban al-Sharqiya.
Salfit:
- 10/04/2022: the Israeli occupation forces confiscated a bulldozer in the town of Qarawat Bani Hassan, owned by the citizen: Ghazi Rayan., while it was working to reclaim the land.
- 10/05/2022: the Israeli occupation forces confiscated a bulldozer owned by: Ahmed Sarsour – a resident of Sarta village, during their raid into Haris village under the pretext that it worked in the classified area (C) under Israeli control.
Bethlehem:
- 10/06/ 2022: the Israeli occupation forces confiscated 10,000 NIS from the house of the citizen: Muhammad Salim al-Badan - during his detention, and 7000 NIS from the house of the citizen: Hazem Muhammad Nawara during their raid into the town of Tekoa.
Hebron:
- 10/27/2022: the Israeli occupation forces confiscated a private vehicle of a citizen during their raid into Hebron city.
North Gaza:
- 10/26/2022: The fishing boat that was confiscated at sea after the detention of 5 fishermen on board in the open sea off the Sudanese beach, west of Beit Lahia, belongs to the citizen: Murad Al-Hassi.
Settlement Activity:

Closure of Crossing Points
