WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 10:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Al-Jisir area located in Jabal Al-Mukabir neighborhood in Jerusalem city.
2. At 11:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Jaba' village then searched residents and vehicles.

Attack

At 19:30, Israeli forces positioned in Al-Eizariya town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Military Checkpoints

Since 11:35 on December 13th 2018, Israeli forces continued its closure of "Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint located near "Beit El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city {for the 23rd consecutive day} and prevented residents and vehicles from crossing the checkpoint in both directions.

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 11:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Abboud town then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 12:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint beneath Ein Yabroud village bridge then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 16:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Ein Sinya village roundabout then searched residents and vehicles.
4. At 16:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Sinjil town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 01:45, Israeli forces raided Abu Shikhidum village and clashed with several residents.
2. At 02:00, Israeli forces raided Kobar town, clashed with several resident as they stormed and searched several homes and detained 3 residents {including a child} and threatened the family of Omar Al-Barghouthi that they will be deported to Jericho in 3 days in the event that they refuses to hand over their son: Assem Omar Barghouthi then withdrew at 02:55.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Mohammed Faraj Ibrahim Zibar, Lotfi Ismail Barghouthi and Mohammed Omar Saleh Barghouthi {17 years old} in Kobar town.

Attack

1. At 12:45, Israeli forces positioned in Jabal Al-Risan area located near Ras Kar Kar village fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents {participating in demonstrations against land confiscation and settler violence} for alleged stoning and as a result left several residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
2. At 12:45, Israeli forces positioned in Al-Mugheir village fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents {participating in demonstrations against land confiscation and settler violence} for alleged stoning and as a result injured 2 residents left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
3. At 13:50 , Israeli forces positioned in the vicinity of "Pesagout" settlement located in east Al-Bireh city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
4. At 13:50 , Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several homes during their raid into Kobar town

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 2 residents: Bassam Saleh Abu Alia and Mahmoud Abdel Hamid Abu Alia during clashes in Al-Mughier village

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 10:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Hadad village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 11:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Jenin city and Beit Qad village then searched residents and vehicles.

TUBAS

Detention

On January 4th 2019, Israeli forces positioned near "Baqa'out" settlement located in the North Jordan valley detained 2 residents: Yazen Zahi Ahmed Abu Ali and Hussein Tayseer Ibrahim Abu Mohsen {Both are residents of Tayassir village}.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 15:35, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at "Enav" military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 16:20.

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 12:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Jaroushiya village junction then searched residents and vehicles until 13:30.
2. At 13:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Quffin town junction then searched residents and vehicles until 13:45.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 14:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqiliya city then searched residents and vehicles.

Attack

1. At 12:30, Israeli forces positioned at the east entrance of Kafr Qaddum village {which is closed by the Israeli Military} fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents {protesting against the continued closure} for alleged stoning and as a result left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
2. At 14:40, Israeli forces positioned in the vicinity of "Ayal" crossing point located in North Qalqiliya city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

NABLUS

Raid

1. At 15:35, Israeli forces raided Orif village, clashed with several residents and detained a child.
2. On January 4th 2019, Israeli forces raided Sabastiya village as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed archaeological sites in the area.

Detention

Israeli forces detained the child Mahmoud Zahi Radi Shihada {16 years old} in Orif village.

Attack

At 15:35, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Orif village.

SALFIT

Military Checkpoints

At 14:35, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Za'tara junction checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

1. At 16:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Qarwat Bani Hassan town then searched resiednts and vehicles.
2. At 16:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Kafr Al-Dik town then searched resiednts and vehicles.

Detention

At 11:30, Israeli forces positioned at at Za'tara junction checkpoint detained 2 residents: Hazem Mustapha Muslimani, and Izzar Hamed Musallamani {Both are residents of Tubas city}.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 15:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Nashash area junction{located at the south entrance of Bethlehem city} then searched residents and vehicles until 16:30.
2. At 24:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Beit Fajjar town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 15:25, Israeli forces raided Al-Minat village and detained 4 residents.
2. At 00:20, Israeli forces raided Beit Fajjar town and summoned Ibrahim Mohammad Ibrahim Thawabta to report to Israeli intelligence for questioning.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 4 residents: Khalid Abdullah Ali Ghazal, Ibrahim Abdullah Ali Ghazal, Ahmed Ali Ghazal and Atta Ahmad Abdullah Abayat in Al-Minat village.

Attack

At 15:10, Israeli forces positioned near the west entrance of Teqou' town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:10, Israeli forces set up 3 checkpoints at the entrances of Al-Samou' town , Abu Al-Asja village and at Zif village junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 02:40, Israeli forces raided Surif town and summoned 2 residents: Wa'ed Arafat Al-Mahdi and his brother Islam to report to Israeli Intellegnce for questioning.

Attack

At 15:15, Israeli forces positioned at the entrance of Beit Ummar town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza strip and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah and on July 17th 2018, Israeli forces reduced the fishing area from 6 nautical miles to 3 nautical miles, On August 15th 2018, Israeli forces increased the fishing area from 3 nautical miles up to 9 nautical miles from the coast of Al-Badeir area located in Central Gaza up to Rafah district located South of the Gaza strip and on October 6th 2018, Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit to 3 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip coasts and on October 23rd 2018 increased the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip.

• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards North Gaza, Gaza, Central Gaza, Khan Yunis and Rafah districts and as a result injured 18 residents and left 291 others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by raiding Rafah district.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

At 14:00 on January 4th 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Jabaliya town during the march of return and as a result injured 3 residents and left 20 others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 3 unidentified residents after opening fire towards demonstrators in east Jabaliya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

At 14:00 on January 4th 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators near east Gaza city during the march of return and as a result injured 6 residents and left 28 others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 6 unidentified residents after opening fire towards demonstrators in Gaza city.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

At 14:00 on January 4th 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators near east Al- Buriej camp during the march of return and as a result injured 2 residents and left 78 others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 2 unidentified residents after opening fire towards demonstrators in east Al-Buriej camp.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

At 14:00 on January 4th 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Khuza'a town located in east Khan Yunis city participating in the right of return march and as a result injured 2 residents and left 152 others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 2 unidentified residents after opening fire towards demonstrators in east Khuza'a town located in east Khan Yunis city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is closed.

Raid

At 07:40 on January 4th 2019, Israeli forces escorting Military bulldozers stormed 50 m into the vicinity of Sufa Crossing point located in North East Rafah city and opened fire as they leveled a plot of land then withdrew at 10:30.

Attack

At 14:00 on January 4th 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Rafah city participating in the right of return march and as as a result injured 5 residents left 13 others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 5 unidentified residents after opening fire towards demonstrators in east Rafah city.
